Christmas Post 2012

Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope you are all healthy & well. This has been a great year of learning-learning how to be better parents, family, friends & also learning more about our Lord. Here's a quick recap of our year.

We have a lot to be thankful for.

Trent is thankful for a God who is relentless, always moving us, making us, & pursuing us. He is also grateful for provisions like a warm house & vehicles and all that we've been given. Hopefully we can use this to bless others as well.

Mandy is thankful for the people in her life, people of all ages & relationships that have been so meaningful this past year. She is also thankful for Jesus who provides us with the ultimate identity as one of His. She is also grateful that Indigo still takes an afternoon nap.

Tait is thankful that he turned 4 this year. He is also thankful that he gets to go to people's houses. Tait loves people and he loves to go. Every morning he asks where we are going and if it will be a "painting" day. If he's told we're staying home, he begs to invite others over or Skype.

Indigo may not know it, but she's thankful to be so loved. She loves to be held & cuddled. She's actually happiest when reading books. 2nd favorite thing is pestering Tait. Really.

The rest of the year was spent working, vacationing, & parenting!

Proof that some days the kids really do just hang on my legs.

Some kid sayings that made me smile this week:

Me: "Tait, what do farmers do during the winter?"
Tait: "I don't know...maybe milk the chickens?"

Indigo has been turning the tables on us & using all of our expressions lately. Count on her to say "ready to go!" anytime she gets dressed, and telling me I've been a good girl. While I was changing a nasty diaper earlier this week, she told me "Good job, Mommy, good job! Bery nice." She loves to count to 10, but always forgets 4.

We hope your year is blessed. Love you all,
T, M, t & i
